About Us

Angie Reid, a holiday home owner herself, started her business in 2005 and now manages nearly 50 holiday let properties for over 40 different owners.

Formerly known as Edinburgh Cleaning Services and then Angie’s Holiday Cleaning, the name was changed to Edinburgh Cleaning & Concierge in 2017 to better reflect the breadth and quality of services we can provide.

But we’re still exactly the same company and team, one that has proudly grown and prospered over the last 12 years, whilst others have come and gone.

We love what we do and believe that shows every day in our work. We are so appreciative and blessed by our lovely clients and guests who tell us it does.

Whether it be just a high quality post let clean, or a more extensive guest and property management service, we’re here to take the pain and strain out of holiday let ownership. Whatever that ‘pain’ is to you.

Meet The Team

Angie

… started her own business in 2005 having previously held a number of senor management roles in a variety of organisations. Initially this was in the education sector, but she then moved into the hospitality industry after studying for HCIMA (Hotel & Catering Institutional Management Association). With this qualification under her belt Angie worked in several different organisations before ending her ’employed’ career path as Regional Manager at the SEC in Glasgow.

She started her business after being on the other side of the fence and having a management company looking after her own property portfolio, but says had it dawned on her that guests arrive at any time from 8am to 3am then she may well have given up before she started!

When she’s not working she loves cooking and discovering new recipes – not many people know she’s a qualified chef. And as a devoted gardener she also loves whiling away a few hours tending her plants and shrubs too.

About her business she says, “What I like most is meeting all the different people that visit our city. Each time I talk to guests I get a renewed vigour on wanting to take time out to visit the wonderful sights… only to come crashing down when I realise I am not the one on holiday!”

Eszter

… is originally from Hungary, where she grew up. However from a very young age she always wanted to live in Scotland.

She has lived most of her adult life so far in capital cities. Budapest where she spent her free time in art movies… she says she’s probably seen more French films than French people do… and in London where she cycled and walked around Richmond park so many times she should have a plaque on the gate! And now Edinburgh, where she mainly spends her free time reading books – and writing her own.

“I was just fascinated by this beautiful country and its culture. My dream came true in 2011 when I decided to move here and soon I met Angie and started to work with her. I think we are lucky to do what we do as we work with the happiest people on Earth… the ones that are on holiday! 🙂

Kinga

… came to Edinburgh from Bydgoszcz, a city in northern Poland in 2010.

“I have always worked in the Hospitality Industry because I like meeting new people. In my spare time I paint and decorate people’s homes and I really enjoy to explore the sights and beautiful scenery all over Scotland.”

Chiara

… is from Italy and speaks four languages English , French, Spanish and Italian. She loves meeting guests and interacting with them and says Angie and Eszter and the other team members make cleaning and caring for guests good fun!

“I enjoy every day because I work in different properties all over the city so each day I get to see the stunning beauty of our wonderful city.”

Gabi

… comes from Hungary and is the longest serving staff member and is a great asset to our business.

Because she doesn’t like her photo being taken we thought we would use chocolate as it is the closest image to her heart 🙂

Lyn

… is our newest staff member and comes to us with years of experience in the Hospitality industry. We warmly welcome her and we look forward to her passing her driving test!

Neil

… is one of our drivers and is also a talented handyman! He takes care of all our small repairs on each property as it is not easy to find a tradesman to visit for these types of wee jobs. He is also a keen cyclist in his spare time.

Ken

… is also one of our drivers and loves meeting and greeting clients as he has a terrific knowledge of Edinburgh’s history and Scottish history. The guests are always fascinated with the range of topics and knowledge he can impart on them.

He’s also a keen gardener and takes care of our owners patios, trims hedges and general outside work, but enjoys administration and office work too.

A general all round great guy, but he’s a bit shy, so hence the cap!
